How long does it take to complete ancestors? ›

These skills, such as the ability to use both hands and stand upright, facilitate evolution. As hominids undergo procreation, unlocked skills are passed on to future generations. The game is 40 to 50 hours long, and it documents the clan's evolution across eight million years.

It is important to make sure your clan is comprised of the best composition before doing an Evolution Leap. The ideal Evolution Leap would be a clan with 6 adults and 6 elders, all of them with active genetic mutations. You do not want babies with mutations as these mutations aren't actually available yet.

You develop your neurons by performing actions multiple times while at the same time gaining neuronal energy when you discover new functionalities and possibilities.

Stockpile Resources. Resources like dead branches, Natal Grass Cycads, Granite, and Basalt are all incredible useful as you try to progress through Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey. The best way to ensure you have plenty of each on hand is to collect and stockpile them at your clan's home base.

Anything else you unlock will be lost and have to be re-upgraded in a future generation.
